Decks used: Spirit Animal Oracle- Colette Baron Reid and the Chrysalis Tarot by Toney Brooks. Research Credit: The Ant:
So the animal I chose for today is the ant. I know like many of us, we’ve been highly annoyed at the fact that on occasion, we’ve discovered them hanging out in our houses and other places, heaven knows what for. It would be so easy for us to see them as pests to be eradicated from our spaces, but hear me out on this one for a second because I found myself fascinated with the research I got to do for these amazing little creatures. (yes I did say they were amazing... read on for more info.)
Generally, ants are symbolic of hard work, perseverance, discipline, industrial creativity, dynamism, and unity, and because of their remarkable characteristics, the ant is often considered to be good luck and prosperity. As a species, the ant exists in most ecosystems and have the ability to use what they have around them in order to survive. They can display good knowledge of their surroundings and can exploit the resources in the said environment to aid their growth. One incredible thing about ants is that they are known to carry up to 20 times their body weight and can travel long distances to bring food to their anthill. they are also known to respect the hierarchy of their colony, which makes them efficient in achieving their tasks. If any of you have been bitten by a fire ant, you already know how painful and discomforting those can be, but this illustrates the aggression some species of ant can display when they are disturbed. it is because of this trait, that some cultures choose to symbolize the ant as a warrior type; someone who fiercely desires to protect their loved ones.
In the spirit of collaboration and unity, let’s get into some cards and find out what they have to say for us here shall we?

Ant Spirit: time to collaborate
Eight of spirals(wands): information coming in fast, pay attention and stay on your toes
The Pilgrim (page of scrolls[swords]): someone who takes action on their mental and intellectual pursuits, smart, observant, and swift to move, but can be impulsive if not checked in with.
6 of spirals (wands): acknowledgment, stepping into the limelight, accomplishments
9 of scrolls (swords): anxieties, stresses, what keeps us up at night, longing for rest. ****
10 of spirals (wands): carrying a heavy load on your shoulders, responsibilities,
The Acrobat (page of stones[pentacles]): someone who is in a place of taking lessons learned and applying them to growing their material and financial abundances
8 of scrolls: you are feeling trapped in an illusion that you are being held back. With a change in perception, you can take a step forward because you aren’t as held back as you think.
With this reading, I am seeing that there is a call for you to take action on your mental health and check in with your thoughts at this time. there is a lot of stresses and heavy burdens in your space, perhaps because you have done something that has gained you acknowledgment. this accomplishment has gotten you noticed, but now you are feeling trapped in by the requirements of the new position you have earned because of this accomplishment. One side effect of this is that, if this concerns a promotion in your place of work, it may mean that you are growing financially. Perhaps you are feeling trapped in the illusion that you are unworthy of your new position, however, this is not as true as you believe it is. This is why I ask you to pay attention to your thoughts at this time because perhaps with a change in perception, you’ll be able to see that you are in fact, worthy of the new space you’re being asked to occupy. And bonus points for you: you have a group of people around you who are willing to step in and help you when you need it.
