Alright friends, so the movie I’ve chosen to highlight today is Thor. This is the first of the three movies released by Marvel studios but I’ve chosen to wait on the other two because while I have seen them, the post would go on forever if I tried to make a reading happen from that. So, for expediency’s sake, I will be focusing on this first movie by itself.
The movie was released in 2011 and tells the story of a young and arrogant god named Thor. Due to some misdeeds, he is cast out of his home and sent to live among the people of Earth (Midgard as it’s known in the movie,) where he soon becomes one of its greatest defenders. The movie was directed by Kenneth Brannagh and stars Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Anthony Hopkins, and Tom Hiddleston.

Okay, so what I’m seeing with this is that there have been places in life where we have let the pursuit of our dreams and creativity get in the way of us understanding our situations clearly. We have been so sure of ourselves that we have lost sight of the need to exercise control of our base desires to overcome them. Peace and balance will help us here along with recognizing that our humanity comes with challenges; perhaps what is needed is to do some observing in your situation and recognize where we are being held back from really getting ahead with our plans. This may mean taking a step back to have a mental and/or emotional break, but in this regard, we have made some progress in that you realize this needs to be done. You also have made some headway in showing gratitude for the knowledge you have gained and the support system you have built. What we are recognizing here is that we can be the kind of people that take action on what mentally and intellectually stimulates us, as well as recognize where the conflicts in our lives are so that we can step back if we are able to.
