Deck used is the Urban Tarot by Robin Scott
With this spread, I wanted to plot points along my journey so I could better understand where I’ve been and what I have to look forward to on my journey. It’s been demanding in the best way possible for sure, and for that I am grateful. I’ve seen changes happen that were necessary and helpful and I have a feeling these changes will have profound effects on my future. I don’t know what tomorrow will bring. But I can be happy knowing that I’ve made the best effort today. Blessed be.
The Cards

6 of disks: This card is representative of the successes we desire, the ability to sit back in luxury and enjoy the finer things in life. It is the stability we crave for our families and the comfort we seek to share with others who have less than us. This isn’t just about the luxuries we seek, it’s about giving and we have enough to do just that.
2 of cups: This card represents union and the idea of coming together. The characters in this card are in a new, young relationship and they are experiencing all the dizzy highs of this. There are dark days to come for this couple, though they are unaware. For now, it’s all warm fuzzies and happy thoughts for these two. Here, in this moment, the idea of love we see in the Ace of Cups now has a focus and it will become clear what happens next.
Strength This card represents the idea of overcoming the worst parts of life. When it throws a curveball at is, we can either wilt away, or stand and fight. It takes a good deal of courage and fortitude to face what scares us, and this is represented by the gentle force we use to overcome to ferocity we are faced with sometimes. It acknowledges that we have deeper impulses that can sometimes get out of control, but we have the ability to make them work for us not the other way around.
The Aeon: Commonly known as the card of Judgement, this card represents the idea of seeing yourself within the cycle of action and consequence. Take this as your call to action. Look at your actions and behaviors and ask how you will face your end when it comes. This card asks us to not look at what we’re taking with us when we leave this plane of existence, but what we’re leaving behind for others when we do.
5 of cups Here we see the pain of disappointment. There is grief, sadness, lots of hurt. However, there is an upside to this card, a truth to come to. We still have a few things left to work with. No your original situation didn’t work like you thought it would and things fell apart. But you still have something left of the original situation. It’s not everything, only some. But you can rebuild from what you have left. Be sad, acknowledge the pain you feel. Then, when you’re ready to, pull yourself up by your belt loops and get started.
The moon: this card represents the world of illusions and dreams. We find ourselves in darkness, facing shadows and creatures of the dark we’d never face in the daytime. This shouldn’t be seen as a negative card though. It may show us the darker sides of ourselves we may not want to face, but must learn to do if we want to be balanced and able to learn from our mistakes.
8 of disks: Here, we see the value of putting in the effort and hard work to see the results you want to see. What have we learned from our failures? It’s okay for it to happen. What can we do to keep going? We keep our eyes set on the prize. Through patience and hard work we will achieve our ultimate goals.
10 of wands: we need to be careful with this card because it can signal a metaphorical fire that rages out of control. We’ve had the idea and have built the foundations upon which to let the idea grow. The problem is that it has gotten away from us and morphed into something we never expected. It’s time to step back and consider whether we’ve gone too far in demanding our ideals be followed. There needs to be room for every idea, no matter how small, for it to be a balanced and fair journey.
Princess of Disks: this person is a caretaker, protector and nurturer. The greatest strength this character has is their stability, endurance and determination. Though this card is often associated with motherhood and pregnancy, this may represent someone who is the protector of new life and beginnings.
9 of swords: because this card occupies the realm of air, we tend to see such cold hearted cruelty here. This comes in the form of our anxieties, negative self-talk and the thoughts we replay over and over in our heads when we’re trying to catch a wink of sleep. This may represent a damned if you do, damned if you don’t situation. Ultimately, choosing the lesser of two evils may bring such intense anxiety that we feel paralyzed by the choices we have to face.
Knight of swords: This character is someone who uses their mind like a blade; with them, there is no mercy. They have the ability to tackle problems with a zeal that can be a bit hard to deal with as they treat them like games they are certain of winning. They are usually the first people to point the finger when something goes wrong or someone messes up somewhere. They are the first person to prefer having a problem solved elegantly rather than practically.
3 of wands: Here we see the will to dominate and succeed. This has been paired with a sense of responsibility to make sure we are doing things right. We also have a complete understanding of what ends our power can be put to. We see how our actions affect others down the road and the idea of working with a group makes us stronger and better able to be in harmony with our community.
I think, in broad strokes, this is telling me that I am a human being with all the layers and complexities that come with it. I have experienced anxieties and stress, I have been competitive and drive for success. But I also know that I am a nurturer, protector and strong warrior. I’ve been through a lot and still have a lot to go. I’m not done yet but sometimes, I need to be reminded to slow down and breathe for a bit. It’s going to be okay. I’m going to be okay.
