Deck is the Antique Anatomy Tarot by Claire Goodchild.

I’m going to be putting disclaimer on this that some of the images might be a bit graphic given that these are anatomical drawings. Please read this at your own discretion.

So I thought this would be fun to do with one of my favorite decks and share it you guys. As I have mentioned previously, I have multiple tarot and oracle decks in my collection and all of them have their own flavor and (I’m going to say it this way) personality. Some are snarky, some are gentle but all of them are precious to me. I have specific factors I like about each deck; mostly the artwork is what draws me in. But the deck I’m using for this reading, the Antique Anatomy Tarot is particularly special to me because, yes it’s the artwork, but also because it was a birthday present to me this year. As a matter of personal interest, I enjoy antique anatomy drawings. Honestly, I don't know where this came from, but it's a personal taste of mine, so I decided to sit down with the Antique Anatomy Tarot and ask the deck to show me what it wanted me to know about it. Here are my results.

The Cards

8 of Elixirs: melancholy, leaving, letting go, bittersweet, ending, stalemate, depression

The Empress: beauty, abundance, potential, creation, luxury, fertility, Mother Nature

Queen of Rods: Energetic, beautiful, charming, leadership

The Sun: illumination, joy, celebration, happiness

10 of Elixirs: comfort, harmony, prosperity, bliss, love, serenity,

Right, so here’s the deal. I think it’s a good storytelling deck. How do you get to that conclusion Meg? Well… there have been especially hard moments in my life, fairly recently too. Last year was the height of the experience but we’ll save that for another post. There was extreme melancholy and depression on my part, but again, with work and perseverance, I felt my energy coming back. I could see the potential of starting again, because those things would create light, joy and prosperity. I knew things weren’t as lost as they seemed, because while things didn’t work out in the situation I was in, the fact that I had to let go of where I was and what I was doing led me to better and brighter horizons. I can say that I feel more aligned with what I want to do and how I want to do it. I think that’s cause enough to celebrate.
