Dominion of Dust: The Lesson of Change

Alright, so as you may have noticed if you’ve been reading the previous posts, I have a lot of niche music tastes, and Abney Park is one of those bands that fits this idea. The song I’ve chosen to focus on in this regard happens to have a theme around change, specifically around sudden and irreparable change. With that in mind, I wanted to use that, along with the Tower and Crumbling cards as prompts to see what we can do to help ourselves when things suddenly seem to change, without notice. I have a tough time with change so perhaps this might be a bit personal to me, but I hope this resonates with you at some point. Here we go, friends.

These things are crumbling and falling away. What are the potential lessons I need to learn after the last piece of rubble falls?

What are some potential obstacles I may face in doing the work to integrate the lessons I’ve learned from the sudden change?

What are some of the possible outcomes of integrating the lessons that came from this sudden disaster?

• The chariot: having the energy and power to drive your will forward, having a clear path forward

Alright so with this reading, I’m seeing that there is sudden and drastic change on the horizon for us and we stand to lose a lot here because the question being asked of us is what is falling away from us now? However, there are lessons being learned here in that we need to find a way of balancing and harmonizing what we’re experiencing with the fact that we are protected. We’re safe to call back out power and cut old energies out of our space so we can move forward. As always, there will be obstacles, specifically with the idea that we need to balance ourselves so we can navigate the choppy waters around us. But the thing we may not see is that while we might not see this happening, things are coming together for us to be able to safely do all of what is being asked of us physically, spiritually, and emotionally. The outcome of these lessons and our experiences is that we’ll be able to drive our energy forward with a clear path ahead of us. We’ll be able to do this with a sense of empowerment and knowledge because the messages we’ve been needing to internalize will finally be internalized.
