Deck used is the Urban Tarot by Robin Scott
So here’s to getting things off my chest. How do I work to feel lighter in my skin? What do I know about myself that will help me safely maintain this? Let’s have a look shall we?
The Cards

6 of swords: This card stands for truth and the triumph of intellect over ignorance. We are using our rational minds to create a better world for those around us. However, this has come with sacrifices aplenty and though there has been progress made, it has come with setting aside personal gains for the greater good of being objective. Sometimes, doing things that matter requires removing ourselves from the equation.
The Wheel of Fortune: Here, we are presented with the idea of a random event that changes everything we know and love. We are never truly fully prepared for what is to come and we must understand that. Life is full of cycles and we aren’t free of them until we meet our end. We may be on top of the wheel one day and the next we are at the bottom because of a shift that happens at random. There is hope with this card however. The thing with the Wheel is that if we are on the bottom, we will rise again and vice versa.
4 of cups: here we are being asked to consider what we value and what we can say no to. We are being given a lot of options and while things seem golden and abundant, for now we are saying no to all of them right now. If there is anything to learn from this card, it is that comfort and stability are good things to have if you don’t get caught up them in lieu of risk and excitement. It’s easy to fall into a rut of complacency and this card is asking you to consider shaking things up every now and again.
2 of cups: This card represents union and the idea of coming together. The characters in this card are in a new, young relationship and they are experiencing all the dizzy highs of this. There are dark days to come for this couple, though they are unaware. For now, it’s all warm fuzzies and happy thoughts for these two. Here, in this moment, the idea of love we see in the Ace of Cups now has a focus and it will become clear what happens next.
Strength: This card represents the idea of overcoming the worst parts of life. When it throws a curveball at is, we can either wilt away, or stand and fight. It takes a good deal of courage and fortitude to face what scares us, and this is represented by the gentle force we use to overcome to ferocity we are faced with sometimes. It acknowledges that we have deeper impulses that can sometimes get out of control, but we have the ability to make them work for us not the other way around.
Again, I’m noticing that the most prominent suit in this reading is the Suit of Cups. This is generally associated with water and is tied to ones emotions. I certainly feel this is appropriate for my personality because I tend to see a lot of water in my triad (I have Pisces and Scorpio as my moon and rising signs so that’s an interesting combo eh?) I tend to feel things very deeply so sometimes things can get a bit heavy for me. But in understanding that I rule my emotions and that things do change, I am in control of them. I have the strength to reign my emotions in when necessary and I know the power of my own mind when it comes to speaking my truth. Whether I’m heard or not is the question but it doesn’t matter because I know who I am and what I’m capable of. So how do I feel lighter in my skin? I don’t worry about what I’m going to feel. I know it’s going to be something, whether that thing is positive or negative. What I do know for sure is that I have the strength and power to cope if the outcome isn’t something I expect.
