The flower for today is the Gardenia. There are roughly 200 species of the flower growing in Aisa and Africa and because of this fact, the flower has seen cultivation in this area for more than 300 years. This flower is typically harvested to be used as a yellow dye and was brought to Europe in the 1700s. The gardenia flower is a genus of flowering plants in the coffee family rubiaceae (I knew there was a reason I liked this flower *wink wink*) the flower was named by Carolus Linnaeus and John Ellis after Dr. Alexander Garden, a Scottish born, American naturalist The flowers are known for being quite fragrant.

You’ll notice that this introduction is quite short and that is because I had quite the time trying to find any information on the origins and the way these flowers are typically used. I am going to tailor this reading to an intuitive reading because due to the lack of information and the fact that I didn’t develop any focus questions for this. The only question I have in this instance is how I can make the most of the day I have today? If you have any comments, questions, or concerns for me, please get in touch.

The Cards

cards were pulled from various decks
  • Asialiah: contemplation, truth

  • Nithhaiah: wisdom, magic, the discovery of hidden secrets

  • 10 of swords: hurt, betrayal, the final card has been played

  • 8 of pentacles: hard work, diligence, efforts are paying off

  • The Hierophant: confidant, confessor, spiritual or religious authority

  • Queen of wands: fiery, passionate, authoritative but gentle

  • 2 of wands: choices need to be made, what fears are making you hesitate

  • Ace of Disks: something is starting in the realm of your energetic, financial, material, and tangible resources.

  • Ace of cups: something new is starting in terms of emotional growth and creative opportunities

  • The Hermit (reverse): it’s time to step back into the world and re-engage. You’ve been away for too long.

  • 4 of swords: rest, give yourself a break, the world will be there to come back to.

  • The World: completion, coming fill cuticle, endings and beginnings, one chapter ends and another begins.

With this reading, I’m seeing a lot of transformative energy here. One, I have been in a state of healing and contemplation because there have been so many hurts and pains, but there have been many a confidant and friend to help me through, especially where choices came up that were difficult for me to make. The thing is that I need to come out of this rest period now. New energies are starting to come to life as there is space for them now that old energies have been cleared away. The only way I can make the most of this time is to reengage and come back to the society I know. I might have some trouble and challenges with this but at the end of the day, I know I am capable of making the most of the energies I have around me.
