So given that it’s Yuletide, I thought it would be nice to highlight some of the stories of Yule. In this case, the part of the story that I’m going to highlight is the Holly King. The Holly King is the personification of the winter season and represents the dark part of the year. He is constantly locked in “battle” with the Oak King who represents the light part of the year. So in honor of the Holly King, let's see some cards and find out his message.
The cards

5 of fire (wands) Conflict, drama, step back if you can
8 of Earth (coins): hard work, diligence, efforts pay off
Queen of swords: observant, smart, protective, someone who supports ideas and ways of communication
Page of cups: someone who applies lessons learned in terms of emotional and spiritual growth
2 of cups: a blending of two energies, union, harmony, balance, “I am worthy of the deepest love acknowledgment, advancement, stepping into the limelight
So the message of the Holly King is that there may be conflict and drama in the space but you have worked so hard to get where you are now you have learned new lessons and are applying them to grow emotionally, spiritually, and in your ability to observe, nurture and protect the things you care about. New energy is coming in acknowledging what you have been able to do.
