Decks Used are the Work You Light Oracle by Rebecca Campbell and the Sirian Starseed Tarot by Alyssa Barthi and Patricia Cori

Alrighty guys, so as we’re starting a new month, I’ve decided to share some of my favorite songs with you all. this admittedly was a difficult task to come up with content for the month and by this I mean, I had a lot of trouble narrowing down my selections to just a few. Given that I have more than enough content for the month, I’ve decided to break up my list into several months of content and I’ll be distributing them throughout the rest of the year so you’re not overloaded. So the first song I’ve chosen is How I Became The Sea by Owl City. I chose this song because of the imagery my brain presents to me whenever I’m listening to this song. I find the lyrics to be so hauntingly beautiful and I am excited to pull cards for this reading because the questions were inspired by the themes in the lyrics. I’d like to start by pulling some prompt cards, and then seeing what comes up for the rest of the questions. So Spirit, what do I need to know for today, given the message of the prompt cards?

The Cards

cards pulled from various decks

Signifiers

  • Abundance (empress): creation, life force, in charge of your own life and path

  • Starseed: what lights you up

What am I releasing in order to be my authentic self?

5 of chalices (cups): you have experienced a loss of some things but not all. you still have a chance to move on if you look up

keepers of the earth: you are not alone, Ancient ancestors stand beside you

These are the areas I need to expand into in order to express my authenticity.

Master of Chalices (cups): feeling your feelings without being overwhelmed with them, generous, emotionally open

Council of light: divine orchestration, helpers in the subtle realms

To start this reading, I pulled some cards to set the tone of the reading, and I came up with Abundance (which is the stand-in for the Empress in the Sirian Starseed) as well as the Starseed out of Work Your Light. What I’m seeing from this is that the thing that really lights you up is working with your powers of creation, specifically in the means of creating your own life and pathway through it. The thing that may be holding you back here is perhaps a lack of understanding that loss is a natural, if painful, part of life that we all go through. though you might not have what you had before, you’re not alone, and that you still have things to move on with. What you may need to work on is allowing yourself to feel whatever it is you need to feel, whether that’s within your mind or in your body, and understand what’s triggering those things. This may help you understand how not to be overwhelmed with all you’re experiencing and not feel shame in asking for help if you feel you need it.
