To my mind, Love is one of the most powerful forces in the world. There are wonderful things love allows us to do as human beings. It allows us to form bonds with others, bring new life into this world, reach out when a stranger or friend needs us. There have been so many songs, poems, novels and creative things made in the spirit of and about the idea. Love can be turned around and perverted if we aren’t careful with it, and it can be all encompassing if we choose to let it become that way. But let’s see what the cards have to say shall we?
The Cards

I must admit that when I drew cards for this reading, I went into this without a firm idea of what I wanted to know. I’m beyond grateful that this reading came up for me because perhaps this is a reminder of what I already knew. Making decisions from a place of love requires so much strength and calm determination to come through. Love is the force that helps us do this when it seems we don’t have it in us to try. It’s the force that helps us understand when we’re looking to make a fresh start and it’s the force that helps us understand the consequences of our actions whether they’re good or bad. It also helps us look deep into our own dreams and private passions and see where we can nurture and bring out our own magic. Doing all of these things requires love to be the driving force, otherwise, we build our lives on sandy ground.
The other thing I noticed is the nurturing aspect of this reading. What are we letting go? Is our Spriggan coming back? Are you figuratively holding a knife behind your back, at the ready to betray and hurt someone else? Because if so, perhaps lovingly sending our little spriggan friend along its merry way is the best choice as well as asking yourself if the hurt you give others is worth the consequences you’ll receive back. Through love, there will be ways of getting out of the traps we put ourselves in. We’ll see upgrades in who we are as people and we’ll be better able to take the dreams and ideas we see in our heads and make them happen in reality. We’ll be able to love ourselves and help others grow simply by acknowledging the potential others have in them. We don’t need to judge others and no one deserves to be judged by others. We’re human, flaws, imperfections, light and dark and everything else that makes us. When we love, simply because we can, things open up for us, good or bad, that we might not have expected. The ripple in the pond metaphor comes to mind quite strongly at the moment. The way we treat others, for better or worse, has a ripple effect in our lives. People remember how they were treated, perhaps more the negative treatments rather than the good. But I’d like to see that statistic get bucked off it’s game. This is why I choose to try and act from a place of love, no matter what.
Blessed Be.
