Decks used Labyrinth Tarot by Minerva Siegel and the Movie Tarot by Diana McMahon Collis

Hey guys. So just a heads up, I am including all three films in one post. I have taken care to include links to all three movies. The synopsis I’ve written for this post will be quite brief and gloss over a lot of details, but I’m not about spoilers, so please consider watching the films or reading the IMDB pages if you’re interested. I have also taken care to gather questions to encompass all three movies as well.

The Lord Of The Rings Trilogy was directed by Peter Jackson and released over the course of three years. Starting with Fellowship of the Ring in 2001, the story begins with a young hobbit named Frodo. As he comes into possession of a powerful ring, he learns that he must take a long, strenuous journey to destroy the ring because there are people close to and distant from him that want the ring for themselves. He won’t be taking this journey alone as he is bringing his friends, and some helpful souls along the way. Moving into The Two Towers (2002), we see the group has broken up and is facing their own adventures. All the while, Frodo is continuing his journey to destroy the ring, and finally, in Return of the King (2003) we see that Frodo has succeeded, the rest of the original group has succeeded in their own adventures and though things have changed, we see that peace has been restored to Middle Earth.

Cards

cards pulled from various decks

At this time, what energy, people, things or emotions do I need to release or celebrate in order to make progress and grow

  • 3 of cups: celebration, community, job well done

  • Strength: calm control, overcoming base desires, healing

What messages do I have coming in from my spirit team/guides/ancestors that will help me along in this journey

  • 8 of cups: disappointments, a situation hasn’t worked out for you like you thought it would, time to turn away and move on to find a new pasture to water, a brighter horizon awaits you

  • 7 of swords: check your motivations and those of others, something or someone is not all it seems or too good to be true

I am small but I am mighty. What assets and skills do I not see that I have and how will these help me in the journey to release and grow? (draw two cards for this question)

  • 8 of wands: information is coming in for you at a fast pace. Pay attention and stay on your feet

  • Queen of Pots (cups): nurturing, emotional, generous, and able to nurture the emotions of others.

  • 2 of coins: juggling, finding balance as you navigate choppy waters around you

  • 7 of posts (cups): having choices in front of you that need to be made. Be careful here, not all that glitters is gold.

What/who’s motivations do I need to examine carefully and closely?

  • 8 of coins: hard work pays off, diligence, the effort is seen and received

  • 8 of junk (pentacles): hard work pays off, diligence, the effort is seen and received

Victory is mine. What am I returning to that I may have lost sight of in the journey to release the baggage I have been carrying.

  • 7 of wands: standing in a place of defense. You have earned the right to be where you are

  • Knight of Poles: someone who takes action on their passions and inspiration, they are fiery and tend to run hot if not balanced out with something else.

Okay, friendship so this is a good long one so buckle up. What I’m seeing right off the bat is that there has been a celebration in our space because we have worked to build up the strength to overcome our base desires and heal the things that have caused us pain. This has required a lot of work to maintain and keep going, so we have earned the right to take some time to acknowledge what we’ve been through. But we can’t rest on our laurels too long because things do change, and right now, we may be facing some disappointments and sadness in our space, especially because there are some hidden motivations we’re not aware of yet, but need to be in order to progress ourselves forward.

So if the question is how we make forward progress, what is it that we’re missing about ourselves? What do we have at our disposal that we don’t see? Well for one, we have the ability to see when information comes in for us. We might have a lot of it coming in all at once but we have the ability to juggle and navigate things as the cycle we’re on changes. We also may be facing choices but we are able to remain nurturing and open with our hearts. We also have the ability to work hard to see dividends in the efforts we put in but we really need to deeply examine why we’re doing what we’re doing at this time. We are able to take action on our passions and inspirations and this is to be admired and celebrated in us. However, the thing we need to be careful of is who we stand to hurt and what we stand to lose on the path to our success.
