Alrighty then friends, it’s the end of the year and I’m very excited to get into 2023. There has been a lot of changes going on with me over the last twelve months, and certainly the world has been going through it all. Personally, I am excited to see where the world takes me next and if it’s at all possible, I’d like to take the journey with my cards in tow. I hope you’ll all come along as well because as always, you’re welcome here if you want to be here.

What I’ve decided to do with this reading is go get a final message for the month and then get into what we can likely look forward to in the year to come. This is going to be a long post as the spread I’m sourcing comes from the Wild Unknown Animal Spirits guidebook by Kim Krans. What I mean here is that it’s a typical twelve card spread with the addition of a signifier card. I’m using four decks, so this is going to be a bit of a long one. Hang in there with me, my friend, I’m sure there will be a message in here that you resonate with.

So, with that being said, thank you for being with me on this ride. I love you and appreciate you all for being here with me so much. It’s made the challenges I’ve faced with posting content for you a bit easier to handle. Again, thank you for your support. Happy New Year everyone. Welcome 2023.

As mentioned in the introduction to this reading, this is going to be a long piece. It’s the end of the year and I want to be thorough about the predictions I’m seeing for the cards. I’m going to start with the reflection for what we need to see as the final message of December. then I will get into the month-by-month analysis and finally the card breakdown. Hang in their friends, this might be a bit of a long read.

Okay so for what we need to see for the last message of the year, it is showing me that, of course, we’ve reached the end of a cycle and we’re in its final throes. The timing of this makes sense given that we’re in the last hours of 2022. The things we’ve all been through have brought us to this moment after all. We’ve worked so hard to complete things so that we can make space for new energy to come it and it’s been hard, but the transition has brought us to a new and beautiful place. This transformation has taken a lot of endurance to get through but by heavens, we have done the best work we can to endure the weight of responsibility this has incurred for us. Now, I believe we’re finding ourselves in a state of wellbeing and peace because we’ve discovered who we are and what we’re capable of. We’ve tapped into our inner Hierophant and Magician, and this has allowed you to find your inner creativity. Make the most of it now dear friend because it won’t last forever.

As we get into the year ahead, I’m going to go month by month as I said, but I’m also going to break down the general prediction I got for this reading as well. What I’m seeing for that is that 2023 will likely be a year of finding and acting within our personal authenticity when choices need to be made and the way seems a bit unclear.

January seems to find you a bit hesitant to share yourself and your inner vision because of course, everything is new and fresh and you don’t have a good grasp on things just yet. Perhaps you feel that you might be facing disaster if you try to do this right away. Taking some time away from the society you find yourself in is going to benefit you because it’s going to allow you to tap into your personal truths so you can understand where you are when the praise does come in for you.

February shows you taking on a lot of on your plate, but you are working to integrate what you’re learning from this time with what you’ve picked up on in the past. Doing this might leave you feeling nostalgic for “the good old days” because you’ve had direct exposure to the work true nature in your world right now. It’s coloring the reality you’ve created around yourself and perhaps there is a bit of discomfort in this for you? That is yours to address dear friend but please know that my thoughts are with you as you do this work.

March may be bringing in some disappointments for you friend, but it’s crucial that you know that you are safe and protected in the way you process what’s happening. Be careful to use your discernment here because what is beautiful and alluring in your space may not be healthy for you, nor does it run deep. I predict the superficiality of the encounters you have with these things are going to be what brings you the disappointments.

April is bringing you a shift in perspective and a new beginning that allows you to act in generosity to those that need your help during this time. While you do accept that this is happening, you’re experiencing a lack of direction and a yearning for it because you’re possibly unsure of how to use this energy right now. I suppose the question here is how can I make the best use of this energy with the time that I have right now?

May shows me that there are choices need to be made in terms of stay or go. this is showing me that you’ve had some incidents where you got what you wanted but lost what you had. Perhaps those things were dear to you but the victories you have gained have meant that you’ve had to sacrifice what you loved and what you knew. But it’s time to let that go and move on. it’s time to take a pause and listen to your heart during this time. Your gut instincts aren’t going to steer your wrong if you tap in and go deep.

June, my friend is quite possibly your month, because it’s showing me that you may be facing some conflict, yet again. But you’re being fearlessly expressive during this time and that is allowing you to be fearlessly generous and deeply emotional. You are using these qualities to manage yourself and the feelings of others when things get tense.

July seems to feel a bit chaotic, but you are exercising the stability and steadiness you’ve gained through the work you have been going. The basis for this is that you have been exercising your authority and creating systems that will help you move forward in your life. This is helping you enhance things that serve your sense of well-being.

August sees new opportunities and ideas coming in for you and while this is a good thing, the problem is that these things may have you feeling shaken up and off kilter. You’re feeling a bit nervous and possibly aggressive because of this but you need to understand that there are opportunities abounding for you during this time, especially those that have to do with putting down roots to gain clarity and understanding.

September: Unlike august, you are showing a grounded, practical approach to your work now. Your understanding and watchful nature helps you in the hard work you’re having to do during this time.

October is showing me that you’re finally tapping into the regal nature that has always been in you by displaying a sense of peace and emotional wellbeing and sharing your values and sense of self-worth. this is allowing you to shine your inner light and generosity for others when things get dark and difficult to handle.

November is bringing the choices to be made once again, and perhaps this is causing you to have intense anxiety and stress over them. The thing is that you understand this trigger and are working to process it by being resourceful, independent and self-actualizing.

December is bringing you right back to the beginning of your cycle and it’s completely apropos to the time of the year we’re discussing right now. Take some time to celebrate what you have built during this time friend. Your endurance and perseverance have gotten you through this time and it’s been a lot of work to develop the coping mechanisms you’ve needed to work with to make the year you’ve had a fulfilling one. The cycles of creativity and power are coming to a new starting point, but you’re ready to accept a new phase of your journey when it does.

As for the card breakdown I’d like to start by saying that I noticed some interesting number sequences between the element breakdown and the suit breakdown. What I mean here is that the element breakdown showed me that eleven cards were situated in the air element, twelve of the cards were associated with the earth element and both the water and fire elements had thirteen cards. The same thing happened for each of the suits in that both the pentacles and the swords had eight cards, cups and wands had nine cards in them and the Major Arcana showed me ten cards. This is an interesting sequence of numbers because obviously this shows a progression in the numbers and synchronicities being what they are, I find that this ties into what the post is meant to be illustrating, that being that progress has been made during the year and it's the sort of thing that needs to be celebrated.

As for each element, the prominent elements of the reading are water and fire. I find this to be significant because if we take a look at the elements in terms of science, both water and fire are incompatible elements; you douse a fire with water, it extinguishes it. In terms of this post, I’m seeing that there’s a lot of intense and powerful emotions you’ve been feeling during the course of this year and it’s take a toll on you. But the work you’re doing is allowing you to be healed and you’re moving into a place where you can thrive with your experiences instead of just existing with them.

Interestingly enough, this ties in with the prominent suit I’m seeing in the space for you right now. Being that there’s ten cards out of the major arcana, this likely means that there is great change afoot in your space right now. Clearly, my friend, you feel it because you have a goodly number of cards in this reading that embody fire and water (aka emotional intensity). This is also borne out by the fact that when I broke down the numbers for each card, I kept getting clusters of cards coming out in 5. This indicates the idea of change quite prominently and that you’re working to master what’s going in within you while things are happening around you.

What I think will help you here is tapping into the repeating cards. There are always going to be choices to make, especially when it comes to whether we’re generous or stingy with what we have at our disposal. There will be conflict my dear friend, this is a fact of life we all face and while you’re working to make the most of the energies you have right now, the other fact of the matter here, is that you’ve worked hard to achieve a sense of emotional well being and authority over the intensity of said emotions. This has allowed you to be grounded, practical and rooted in the light of your truth.
