Decks used are the Work your light by Rebecca Campbell and the Sirian Starseed Tarot by Patricia Cori and Alyssa Barthi

Okay so now we’re moving into another of my favorite songs and I chose this one because I always imagine a rainy night driving with a loved one. I always get a sense of pain and nostalgia from this song because it seems that the character of this story is reminiscing about times past, where they felt loved, encouraged and peaceful. Now that it’s gone, the character wants those moments back. This is something I can relate to, perhaps sadly enough. With these emotions and ideas in mind, I tried to formulate the reading around these ideas. Let's get to some cards and see how I did.

The Cards

cards pulled from various decks

I’ve been in a low for a while now and this is what I’m doing to help myself through/bring myself out of it.

  • Sage of flames (queen of wands): fiery, passionate, someone who inspires the passions and inspirations in others

  • The Initiation: rite of passage, crossing the threshold

How can I honor those in my physical space and those on my spiritual team who have helped me through the hardest points of my journey?

  • Ascension (the world): completion, the ending of one cycle and the beginning of another,

  • don’t dim to fit in: how are you dimming your light in order to fit in?

cards pulled from various decks

What lessons can I take away from this experience and how can I safely and deeply integrate these things into my energy moving forward? (2 cards)

  • 7 of crystals (coins): taking a step back to assess your progress and whether the effort you’re putting in will be worth the results

  • Pleiades: double mission: channeling and uplifting humanity

  • seeker of orbs (page of swords): someone who takes lessons learned and applies them to pursuing their mental and intellectual pursuits

  • star mother: how can you mother yourself

This is in the past

  • 5 of flames: conflict, drama, take a step back if you can

  • the age of light: you’ve been training for this for lifetimes

This is the potential outcome of letting past energies go

  • The Hanging Man: surrender, a change in perspective,

  • Anna, Grandmother of Jesus: seeding the light, laying foundations, divine plan

So what I’m seeing with this reading is that in order to bring myself out of the low I’ve been in, I need to understand that I am going through a rite of passage and that things do change even if I neither want nor am ready for them too. This is inevitable but I need to know that I haven’t done it alone; I have people in my physical space and on my spiritual team that has helped me through some of the hardest points of my life, and in order to honor that fact, I need to let these cycles move through me so I can really let my light shine for now. The lesson I have learned in all of that is to step back and assess whether the efforts I’m making to uplift those around me are worth the emotional and mental price I’m paying in order to do this. Perhaps questioning how I’m going to take care of myself is a good place to start, but even more important than that is making sure that I can step away from old drama and surrender to new energies that are waiting at the gate for me to let them in. After all, I have been in the works to do this for a while and I am resting on sound foundations.
