Deck used is the Fairy Ring by Anna Franklin

My research on the Ostara sabbat can be found here: Learning Religions- Ostara

Now that winter (seems to be) fading, there’s been a lot of new ideas and enjoyments to be had, challenges to overcome and people to help. It feels like things are starting to pick up some energy so what’s up, and how can I make this energy work for me?

The Card

from the Fairy Ring by Anna Franklin

Ostara: creativity, emergence, versatility, dexterity, idealism, individuality, situations crystalizing, and taking form.

With this card showing up for me now, I feel like I’m coming out of being blocked and unhappy with things. I have new ideas and projects coming to me and I feel a fresh sense of energy coming to me to make all of them come to pass the best way they can. It’s also through this that I feel a sense of freedom in expressing my individuality and what I stand for because I’m truly and completely clear on what I value and who I want to be. I am emerging from a sense of darkness where I’ve spent my time in reflection and introspection and I find that I am ready to share what I’ve learned with the rest of them.

For a bit of a history lesson, the Fairy Ring deck includes cards for each of the eight sabbats that occur throughout the year. I am just learning to work with them outside of my readings so I’m not very well versed in what rituals you can do with them, however, I have been researching the meanings and other historical facts of the sabbats, so I feel comfortable in sharing what I know here. From what I understand, Ostara is the time of the year when the Spring Equinox is celebrated. It’s often a time to celebrate the coming of Spring. A new and fresh Earth is often celebrated, and the magickal rituals and practices often center around the ideas of birth and renewal. If you have any other facts and things you’d like to share with me on this, please let me know. I’m eager to learn what I can.
