Deck used is the Everyday Tarot by Bridgit Esselmont

Here’s another deep dive card for you all friendship. I wanted to look at this one especially because 2020 had us all in hermit mode for a long time. Hopefully, we’ve learned some lessons from this state, but let’s see where this goes shall we?

The Cards

The Hermit: “You are on the path of spiritual knowledge and self-discovery. Retreat from everyday life and create space for introspection. Go within and you’ll discover the knowledge and clarity you seek.” Bridget Esselmont

Again, this resonates with me quite a bit here because I’m the kind of person that likes her quiet time. I’m not interested in going out every night of the week to party with friends because I’m just that much of an introvert. I recharge the best when I’m in my quiet, alone time. However, as I said in the introduction, 2020 was a whopper of a year (thank heavens it’s over) and I’ve learned a lot from not having the ability to do what I’d normally be able to do.

So what are some lessons learned from going hermit status? One, it’s allowed me to really focus on the things I want to achieve in my personal life and my business. It’s allowed me to genuinely reflect on the things that I’ve built up for myself and tear down some of my shadow sides so I can safely integrate new energies into my being. None of this has been easy and a lot of this has been done on my own, without any discussion of what might happen next. It has felt so dark doing this but I’ve gained a lot of light from experiencing real solitude, and this is what I think the point of having Hermit energy around us has been. The time rest, recharge, and reflection have helped me to see the path ahead of me quite a bit more clearly and I’m grateful for that.
