decks used are the Work your light oracle by Rebecca Campbell and The Sirian Starseed Tarot- Alyssa Barthi and Patricia Cori

When I first heard this song, I was actually deeply affected by it the first couple of times I heard it. This, for me, is a surefire sign that a song or a piece of music is going to be one of my favorites and this song is no exception. The theme I wanted to tap into is the idea of coming back to life after a painful experience that has tested you so deeply that you can’t quite let go of it just yet, but it’s now the end of this experience and it’s time to come back to life again. How can we safely do this, without holding ourselves back? Let's get to the cards to find out.

The Cards

cards pulled from various decks

Significator:

  • The Tower: disaster and sudden change, catastrophe, look again as there is value in the rubble

  • The Crumbling: what are you clinging onto?

I am now in the aftermath of some difficulties that came up for me. What have I learned from things crumbling and falling away?

  • 3 of crystals: teamwork makes the dream work, working together, balancing the energies of the novices and those with experience

  • The Ever-Unfolding Rose: cracked open, it’s happening for you, not to you.

The end of a difficult period. What is the outcome of this time and how can I safely leave these things behind so I can move forward.

  • Adept of Orbs (knight of swords): someone who takes action on their mental and emotional pursuits, swift of mind but may be easily overwhelmed by their emotions.

  • warrior woman: have you answered your deepest calling?

What do I have left of my foundations if anything?

  • hanging man: surrender, a change in perspective, looking at things from a different angle

  • leap: you go first, the Universe will catch you.

I have been experiencing intrusive thoughts and rumination but there was someone there with me to help me through and understand these throughs. How can I honor this person (these people) in the best way possible?

  • 4 of crystals: stinginess, you have walls up around you, and you need to open up and let go of lack of mindset

  • The Initiation: Rite of Passage, crossing the threshold

Okay so with this reading, I wanted to tap into the aftermath of a difficult period we may be having and what we can do to help ourselves after this period of time. I looked at the Tower and The Crumbling cards for guidance here because to me, these to cards mean that there are things in our space that are rapidly changing and falling away from us. But we might be wondering what happened and how we’ll pull through when we don’t understand how the future will be. One thing we need to remember is that we have people on our side, both old and new, who will be there to help us get through the worst times and celebrate with us when times are good. These difficulties are happening to us, though we may not immediately see why. When the end of these times do come, we’ll be able to take action on the mental pursuits we’ve been wanting to take on, without necessarily feeling overwhelmed by the emotions attached with those things, and in this, we’ll be able to answer the deepest calling of our souls. What’s left of your old foundations? Perhaps nothing. But the call to action here is that we’ve grown up enough to recognize when to surrender old perspectives, let go of the walls we’ve built up around ourselves, and take the leap into the unknown. Again, we’re not alone in doing this because Spirit absolutely has your back as we cross this threshold.
