As a creative person, I find that I tend to get creatively restless if I don’t have multiple projects and things going on. This will make sense when I explain to you that while I am a writer and an artist, I also really enjoy knitting, drawing, bookbinding, and both digital and traditional painting. I don’t think I’m the most groundbreaking artist but I enjoy what I do and I’m so happy to share the things I create with everyone. The thing is that having all these creative areas to work in keeps me from vacillating and being indecisive on what to put my energy towards. The problem I sometimes have though is what to work on first. I wanted to tell my story as an artist and creative because this is how I see my life and the world around me.

As a creative person, I’ve always known I was different from the other kids my age. When they were out playing on the swings and jungle gym, I wanted to be inside reading and being creative. It was a chance to be truly myself when the fact of the matter was that I needed an escape from all the bullying and teasing I got put into. Like I say, now my expression and my livelihood are tied to my creative efforts and I’m so happy to share my creations with the world. This is something I hope to continue doing down the line.
