It’s been an up and down ride for the last year or so. Quarantine has shown me a lot about what it means to have (or not have) control over things. It has shown me a lot about humanity and what we as a species are capable of doing to ourselves and each other. So what are those things? And what can I do to be fully present to it all? Let’s find out, shall we?

The Cards

"Instead of praying for an outcome, I pray for the highest good for all." Gabrielle Bernstein

cards pulled from various decks
  • South Node: Don’t let your past hold you back

  • Jocelyn (she who persists): defiant, perspective, persistent, take stock of your personal values and what you’re willing to do to defend them, own your power and persist

  • Scarab: magic works through you

  • Serpentine: awaken your reptilian nature

  • Chalcedony: conversion, negative to positive, release, embrace

Numerology

  • 7: introspective, intuitive, private, reclusive, secret, separate, distant, analytical, inquisitive, perfectionist, critical

  • 9: wisdom, responsibility, serving humanity, forgiveness, selflessness, compassion, sacrificial, accepting, spiritual

I often need to be reminded of this, but I need to understand that I have the power to make things happen in my life and it’s time to awaken these abilities. I can’t be held back by my past and I can’t be afraid of my future. Honestly, there’s a reason it’s called the present and I need to hold on to the love and gifts I’ve been given. I need to know that I have the power to affect the highest good for my family and friends and that is what I know to be the best use of my personal power. As per the cliche, I need to be aware that my gifts come with responsibilities and even though I might need to be distant from situations to figure out how to best use them, I need to also act from forgiveness, selflessness, compassion, and forgiveness if I want the highest and best outcome to happen for my loved ones.
