Deck used is the Spiritsong Tarot by Paulina Cassidy

Descriptions of each section are pulled from the guidebook for the Antique Anatomy Tarot by Claire Goodchild

So this reading is going to be done a bit differently from the past readings. I saw this template in the guidebook for the Antique Anatomy Tarot and I wanted to try the spread out for the entire month. The problem (but it’s not really a problem) is that I decided to do a small modification on the reading. I chose to pull cards every day of the month instead of a card for just the specific sections. Instead of 8 cards, I pulled 30… yes... it was lots of work and therefore this reading is going to be longer than you’re likely used to seeing from me (enjoy the dissertation guys *winkwink*) Also, the suits are labeled a bit differently from a standard Tarot deck so to clarify what they are here is a breakdown of the themes for this deck: Acorns for wands, Feathers for swords, Shells for cups and Crystals for coins.

Well this one was an interesting reading eh? I have to say, this meant a lot to me to share this with you guys. I hope this resonates with you in some way, because it certainly has with me in a lot of ways. Let’s see how.

To get started, the card I drew works with my goal because it illustrates what I need to have in order to make my goal come to pass. Even if the way is hard and things don’t come easy to me, I know I have what it takes to make the best of the situation I find myself in. In terms of taking initiative, this is showing me that there will be a journey in getting started with things. I’m going to have to make changes and some of them will have to happen fast. Old energies are dying out and structures I thought would work in the past aren’t really serving me anymore, so it’s wise to let these things fall away. From those changes comes a new world opened for me, one with new opportunities and discoveries to be made. I’ll have decisions to make and things to prepare for, but I know that I can make the choices and decisions because I will be empowered to move forward on my goal. The best tools I have at my disposal are reason, logic and confidence and the knowledge that I will be able to grow and change as a person from doing what I’m doing.

I also have to acknowledge that there will be so much hard work on the way to achievement, but I will see the fruits of my labor come to pass if I keep going. Again, confidence will help me here because whether I stand with someone in making my dream come true or not, I am able to do it because I have it in me to try. Another thing I need to acknowledge is the fact that things will happen to me. It’s a foolish thing to ignore so in that light, it is up to me to make sure that I know and show respect to my limits and to take care of myself when I feel I’ve reached them. This is going to help me stay balanced and healthy so I can share the abundance I have in and around me. The other thing this is going to do is help me understand when to communicate my needs and when to step back and self-reflect.

One thing I’ve gained clarity on this cycle is who I am as a person, what I stand for in my life and how I face challenges. I’ve always known I have a stubborn streak a mile wide and that I’m an emotional person. I’m passionate and feisty one moment, then dreamy and off in my own head the next. While this is true, I’ve gotten clear on the fact that now I need to use that passion, fire and dreaminess to become a leader in my own right and never forget to be in a learner’s mindset. There’s work still left to do and there will be challenges put up for me that require skills and knowledge that I might not have in the moment. It’s never too late to learn and that is how I will persevere in the coming days.

The things I’m sharing with the world are things that aren’t necessarily tangible in the physical world but still have a profound impact on those that come in and out of my life. One thing is that I know I’ve become stronger in myself for having faced the challenges I’ve faced. There are things I’ve been able to do because I feel more emotionally stable, secure and empowered. Because of ALL of that I’m better able to handle the potential discomforts that come from change and transition. Ultimately, the confidence I’ve gained is helping me share the kindness, wisdom and healing that came to me from being the leader of my own identity.

Moving into the ending phases of this cycle, I’ve learned that there will be times when drawing on my new skills, clarity and other things I’ve gained this cycle will be necessary. Change and transition are constantly happening around us but it’s up to us to understand and analyze our reactions to it. After all, the only behaviors we have control over are our own. We have choices to make in terms of whether we face these things negatively or whether we seek peace and compassion.

So to answer the question of whether I’ve achieved my goal for this moon cycle or not, I am going to say no I don’t think I have. However, I’m closer now than I was at the start of this month. I won’t be giving up on this goal so easily. I have too much determination in me to do that. However, with the determination comes the planning and the ability to execute the vision I have for my future as well as overcome the fear I sometimes feel. I know there will be challenges and tough choices to be made, but that there will prosperity and security on the other side of them. I’ve come so far and I have a long way to go still. But I’m definitely happy to walk this path and I hope you’ll come along for the ride.

Blessed Be.
