Okay, so the movie I’d like to share with you today is The Shape of Water. Directed by Gullermo Del Toro and released in 2017, this movie tells the story of a woman named Eliza. Throughout the film, we discover that Eliza doesn’t have the ability to speak due to a childhood injury to her neck. She works as a maid in a top-secret government facility where she and her fellow worker Zelda go through the day-to-day tasks their jobs require. When a mysterious creature is brought into the facility, Eliza chooses to befriend it, and eventually, deeper feelings come to the surface.

Okay so right off the bat, we’re being asked to look at the energy of love and what unexpected shape this has taken in our lives. The thing I’m seeing here is that being immersed in loving energy has allowed us to exercise our authority over our minds and hearts in a smart and observant way. This has led us to grow and experience the peace and stability that comes from having what we need to take care of ourselves and our family and friends. The way we can honor this energy is to step back and deeply assess the options we have moving forward. We need to be reflective and careful at this time because not all that glitters in our situation is golden and good for us. The only way to assess these things is to retreat for a bit and reflect. Right now, the energy of love needs to flow through our space but we need to make some choices on how to do this. There may be some painful endings and closures in our space and we may be missing information on how best to do this, but again, reflecting and taking some time out will help us make the most of this energy. More importantly than that, we need to internalize and understand that all things, including the energy of love, move in cycles and what is up will come down and vice versa. When we realize and appreciate this, we’ll be better able to make the most of our generosity and energetic wealth.
