One of the best things we as humans can do for ourselves is learn when and where we need to set boundaries. When we do this, we’re able to get ourselves in a safe place to feel the things we need to feel and do the things we need to do to be better for ourselves and those we’re taking care of. For me, this has been a challenge, but I’m slowly learning. Let’s see what the cards have to say on this topic.

The Cards

from the Zombie Tarot by Sarah Graham et al.

Ace Of wands: new tasks, motivation, energy

The chariot: travel, progress, conquest

2 of hazards: balance, harmony, juggling responsibilities

6 of hazards: generosity, favors, rewards

4 of cups: boredom, dissatisfaction, weariness

The star: recognition, inspiration, achievements

4 of hazards: selfishness, hoarding, possessiveness

9 of hazards: prosperity, independence, confidence

To start this reading, I started this reading by doing some reflecting on how well I maintain my boundaries with other people and I came to the understanding that there are certain people in my life that I don’t actually maintain my boundaries with. This is bad because I often find myself getting defensive with these people because I perceive a lack of respect between myself and them. What I came to find in these reflections is that the idea of respecting boundaries has to flow both ways. It’s not enough to ask people to respect a boundary you don’t show respect for either.

So how can I create a safe place for myself and how do I learn to respect my boundaries? I need to start by analyzing the feelings I need to feel, especially where new projects and new energies are concerned. I do have a lot on my plate right now because of all the projects I want to do and only so much energy during the day. Knowing this will help me heal and navigate things because I’ll be able to use the momentum to make progress and other headway into projects I want to do down the line.I can also use this energy to create a safe space for myself in that I can create balance and harmony in my space while still juggling my responsibilities. By this, I’ll be able to give on a full tank in spite of the fact that occasionally I will need to step back from doing this to recharge myself. I also need to hold on hope and make sure not to hoard my resources when times get bad. I won’t be able to achieve my goal of being independent and prosperous if I hold back and become stingy. This doesn’t mean that I should ignore my boundaries, but I don’t need to put people off either.
