So with these next couple of readings, I’d like to spend some time outlining some coping mechanisms for the coming year. It doesn’t look like we’ll be coming out of this pandemic any time soon (sadly and I’m sorry to say it). But how do we cope with this? We’ve all been through trauma and anxieties and we’re still running through the garbage. So let's get into some cards and find out where to start. I’m going to be keeping a running tab on the questions I get out of the readings. These will be addressed at the end of the reflections for each reading so stay tuned for each day's post for the answers. Okies, to the cards we go.
The Cards

6 of Fire (wands): acknowledgment, stepping into the limelight
5 of Air (swords): a victory tinged with defeat
10 of wands: burdens, stresses, feeling weighed down
The Chariot: having the will and determination to drive your power where you want it to go
Queen of Swords: protective, nurturing, observant, authoritative, “I protect what matters to me
9 of wands: perseverance, strength, standing tall in the storm, “I am strong for as long as I need to be strong.”
Well, this just makes sense if I’m totally honest… It’s been a hard time and we’ve come through a lot to get ourselves to a place where we have a sense of “normal” again. Of course, we’re still masked and still having to be careful, but we need to acknowledge that we’ve made it this far at all. We’re worried… so very worried, and perhaps we’ve forgotten that we are strong enough to weather the storm. We can stand strong in this, we just need to remind ourselves of this fact.
So the question I’d like to take over from this post into the next one is how can we remind ourselves of our strength. Stay tuned for tomorrow to find out my findings.
