Today’s movie is Waterworld. Released in 1995, and starring Kevin Costner, Tina Majorino, and Jeanne Tripplehorn, this movie tells the story of an Earth that is forever changed when the polar ice caps completely melt and flood a good portion of the world. There are people who are trying to survive, and from these people, a mutated mariner emerges and works to save survivors from those who would do them harm.

My current situation has forced me to adapt and change. What progress have I made that I can celebrate at this time?

Where is my compass pointing to? What is my intuition telling me about finding my “dry land” at this time?
Ace of cups: a new opportunity to grow emotionally and spiritually
10 of feathers (swords): finality, painful endings, the final card has been played, betrayal
What old energies do I need to leave in the depths and what new energies can I make room for when I do this?

These are the challenges I face during this journey to dry land

Alright so with this reading, what I’m seeing is that our situation has changed drastically and that we have been forced to adapt and change right along with it. The problem is that we’re facing a lot of anxiety and stress over these changes and it’s causing us to be closed off and stingy with our energies and perhaps our resources. This is a problem because we’re not seeing that our inner compass is pointing us in the direction we need to be going in. Essentially, we’re not giving ourselves the chance to grow emotionally and spiritually. All we’re seeing is the pain and the hurt we’ve been experiencing and this is not all that good for us. I think the best advice I can give here is to check ourselves and the people we have around us because we are developing in ourselves and our physical resources as well. How we use them and who we let get close to them is important because perhaps the goal is not to get hurt again. Here we need to be smart and observant and understand that recognizing and applauding ourselves for our accomplishments is important.
