Okay, so today’s movie is one of my favorites, simply because of the premise of the story and the way it was presented. This movie was released in 1998 and tells the story of Chirs Neilson. He and his family seem to have a perfect life and a perfect home. Chris and his wife Annie have excellent jobs but when tragedy strikes the family and Chris dies, he goes to his version of heaven where he works to reconnect with his children who sadly, died earlier in the movie. As the movie progresses, we learn that Annie has lost her life as well and that Chris has to go on a journey to hell to find her and bring her back with him. This movie stars Robin Williams, Annabeth Sciorra, and Cuba Gooding Jr. and was released in 1998.

I am facing enormous pain during this time. What are some things I can do to remind myself that I am resilient and strong without denying myself to feel the hurt I’m experiencing?

What can I do to reconnect with myself and my loved ones in the face of this pain?

  • Judgment: heeding a call, coming out of a place of the dark into one of light

A card to honor the light in me

  • Wheel of Fortune: cycles, what is up will come down and vice versa

  • The Chariot: having the power and will to drive your energy forward

A card to honor the dark in me

  • The High Priestess: wisdom and knowledge gained through reflection and introspection

  • Justice: balance, answering for past actions, holding yourself and others accountable

Love is something I would go to hell and back for. How can I honor and show appreciation for this?

  • 6 of coins: generosity, balance, in a place of giving and receiving without question for the motives

  • The Empress: creativity, intuition, abundance

With this reading, what I’m seeing here is that in spite of the challenges we’re facing in our space during this time, we’re able to navigate them openly because we have developed the skills and knowledge to make the magic we know we’re capable of making. This can lead to great things, however, the issue is that all of us experience pain and hurt, seemingly for no reason. This may test us, but we’re strong and resilient and capable of going through the pain we’re going through because we know that we’re capable of taking actions on our passions and inspirations, in spite of the pain we’re experiencing. This is going to help us take action because eventually, we’ll end up in a place of light and peace because we’re in the space to enjoy the things around us, even if only for a little bit. We’ll be able to honor the wisdom and balance we’ve learned and gained from reflecting on our past and taking responsibility for the things we’ve done. Even as life moves in cycles friend and even as things come up and down and back up again, the thing we’re working towards is a life that is generous and receptive, creative and abundant.
