So today’s movie highlight is Wings. Released in 1927 and directed by William A. Wellman, this story tells of two young men who fall in love with the same woman. As World War I begins, both are called to serve and both of them become fighter pilots for the cause. this movie stars Clara Bow, Buddy Rogers, and Richard Arlen.
With this reading, I’d like to see how we can harness our bravery, take flight and do the work we are destined to do while still being safe and able to take care of ourselves? Let's get to the questions and cards and find out, shall we?
Cards

I am being asked to be brave. What can I do to make sure this energy is honored and expressed in a safe way?
Two of Coins: juggling, balancing, navigating rough waters
Fate (death): a change in energy from one form to another
What can I do to honor the friendships (unlikely or otherwise) in my space at this time?
The Chariot: having the energy and drive to move your power where you want it to go
7 of Junk (pentacles): take a step back to assess your progress. Is the effort you’re putting in at this time seem like a worthy cause to continue with?
Are there any issues that need addressing in this space at this time and how can I do this task safely and openly? (draw a card for each portion of this question)
Three of Coins: teamwork, a blending of the ideas of the novices and those with experience
10 of poles: responsibilities, burdens, putting in the work now because you know it will pay off later, carrying a heavyweight on your shoulders
Sylvia- the love interest: what issues do I need to address in my space
The Hierophant: confessor, confidant, spiritual or religious authority, traditions, and orthodoxy
9 of junk (pentacles): having a sense of well being, taking a break, and enjoying a bit of the luxe life every now and again
Mary- the friend- how can I safely deal with being “friend-zoned”
Page of cups (reversed): emotionally blocked or immature, not taking in lessons learned in this area
8 of poles: information is coming in quickly so pay attention and stay on your toes
Jack- the mechanic: what talents (known or hidden) do I need to express or show
Page of Coins: taking lessons learned and applying them to growing your material and financial abundances
The Tower: sudden and drastic change, catastrophe, there is value in the rubble
How can I express these talents safely?
Knight of Coins: taking action on growing your financial and material abundances
7 of cups: having choices and options in front of you. Be careful with these because not all that glitters is gold
David: How can I be generous with my energy and time while still taking care of myself?
The Empress: calm, quiet control, intuition, abundance, and creation
8 of coins: working hard will pay off, efforts will bring in dividends
Okay with this reading I wanted to address the question of how to honor our inner bravery and strength while still acknowledging our emotional needs. What I’m seeing right off the bat is that there have been some changes in our space and this is especially important because we’re juggling things as we try and move forward in our lives. The thing that draws people to us is our ability to take the plans we’ve made, move them forward and then step back to reflect on the things we’ve been looking for in making the choices we’ve made. This is inspiring because it’s allowing us to address the issues we’re facing with a team instead of trying to do it completely on our own, however, this has required a balance of personalities, materials, and whatever else needs working on. Perhaps this has made us feel like we’re flailing as we’re trying to tread water, but the thing is that we’re not alone. We have someone on our side, making sure that we are safely able to address our issues and problems and in that, we’re working to achieve a sense of peace and well-being.
Another thing we need to be aware of is that in all the change we’re experiencing, perhaps some emotional immaturity and foolishness have become apparent. This isn’t serving anyone at all because there’s a lot more information coming in and the need to pay attention to what’s happening around us is so important. This will allow us to absorb lessons learned in terms of growing abundance and help us move through any changes we may suddenly experience. In all of this, we’ll be able to take action and move forward on our financial goals because we’ll have developed clarity and the ability to create and put in the hard work so it pays off.
