Wrong Side: Authentically Me

Alrighty friends, so once again, I’m sharing another of my favorite Abney Park songs with you guys. Admittedly this took a few times of listening through the song to really get the themes and the message from this, however, the most important message I picked up on was the idea of being authentic and going out into the world in spite of what people may see or think of you. So with that in mind, I’d like to get a read on this idea and what the cards might have to say on the matter.

This is what it means to be my authentic self.

• ace of flames: an opportunity comes in to grow and take action on your passions and inspirations

• akasha: your guidance is divinely guided

This is what I stand to gain from showing the world my authenticity

• three of orbs: heartache, pain from all around, bleeding heart,

• sisterhood of the rose: beauty, devotion, priestess, mystic, teacher

This is what I stand to lose from showing the world my authenticity.

• 9 of swords: anxiety, stresses, what keeps you up at night

• Pillar of Light: your vibration is rising, you are the oracle

These are the things I’m grateful for because I have shown my authentic self to the world

• The Great Wheel: cycles, what is up will come down and what is down will come up again, all things in their time

• The Ever-Unfolding rose: cracked open, it’s happening for you, not to you.

Alright so with this reading, I’m seeing that the need to be my authentic self comes out in many ways, but the thing I need to focus on right now is the fact that being my authentic self allows me to grow and take action on my passions and inspiration. A lot of times, I’ve felt alone in pursuing the idea of my truest authenticity but the thing I may have missed, right up until now is the fact that I am being divinely guided to find these things. What I stand to gain from showing the world my authenticity is that I will attract a community of people who are like-minded and care deeply for me, even though there will be people who don’t want to see me succeed in this venture. On the flip side of this, I stand to lose the anxiety and stress of having to hide away, and by this, I will raise my vibration enough to be in the truest form of my personhood and understand the path I’m currently on a lot better than I do. What I need to remember is that things change all the time. While I personally don’t do well with these changes, I need to know that these things are happening for me and not to me, and that staying in my authentic self and true power will always steer me right, even when the way forward is unknown.
